National Aviation Hall of Fame
The crew of Apollo 8 poses for a photograph during the "Oscar Night of Aviation"...the National Aviation Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Fellow Apollo 8 astronauts, Jim Lovell, left; and Frank Borman, right; were on hand to enshrine crew mate Bill Anders into the HOF. All three astronauts from Apollo 8, which was the first mission to use the Saturn V rocket and the first to orbit the moon, are now enshrinees in the HOF. General Anders is also the photographer who shot the famous photograph "Earthrise" while in orbit around the moon.
